Stefanie Senden

Stefanie Senden specializes in commercial and corporate law and contributes to academia as a Guest Lecturer in Civil Procedure Law at Maastricht University. 

Stefanie Senden has been affiliated with our office since 2022, operating from the Maastricht branch, and specializing in commercial and corporate law. Alongside her career as a lawyer, Stefanie is also active as a guest lecturer in Civil Procedure Law for the Dutch bachelor’s program.

Next to this, Stefanie is also pursuing her PhD in corporate law, focusing her research on the corporate opportunities doctrine in the Netherlands. This doctrine examines the legal obligations of corporate officers and directors regarding business opportunities that come to their attention while serving in their official capacities. Stefanie’s work delves into the intricacies of this doctrine within the Dutch legal framework, analyzing its implications for corporate governance and accountability of directors and shareholders.

Alongside her academic career, Stefanie manages the legal research department of LexQuire. This dual role allows her to combine theoretical research with practical experience, providing valuable insights into the application of corporate law. Her work in the legal research department further enriches her understanding of corporate practices and enhances the depth of her scholarly contributions to the field.
